Thank you for joining this Forum and Supporting NHRDC
Dear Mr. Raguin
Thank you for the encouraging remarks. Yes, so far, we've had positive reactions to the documentary. As you've rightly said, we need to enhance commiunications to the potential participants and the public. I'm counting on your "extensive baggage" in HRD to help me through this new venture. Once again, thank you for your continued support.
Hi Mr Raguin. I would like to thank you for your enthusiasm for this project and i wish the other members of the steering committee could give it some thought to make the dream come true. Your views on the Logo and Motto have been well accepted and I personally feel that the Motto could be adopted as it reflects the way forward for HRD in Seychelles.
As you may recall, the main activity for the launching of the HRD Award will be the production of a HRD Documentary. Mrs Anne Marie Collet has been assigned the job and she will be visiting selected organizations for interviews and filming. SACOS is one of them.
Best regards
Genevieve
Hi everyone, finally we are connected and can start sharing ideas on this forum. I hopewe all make god use of this opportunity. We had been asked to comment on the logo and the motto, which according to my understanding few of us have reacted to. My response to Ms Andre is seen below..
Hello Ms Andre,
I have tried to access the forum on the NHRDC web site but to no avail. There are some activations that need to be completed before it can effectively be used. Maybe we need some instructions from your IT Supervisor on how to get access to the forum.
As for the logo and motto, I feel the logo is pretty nondescript and cannot be linked to HRD visually in any way. In my opinion (not an expert in logo design) I believe that the logo should at first sight evoke HRD. We could have something that is a variation of the main NHRDC logo(see logo top left on main page) The little figures (little men in the main logo) could be incorporated into the design instead of just the streak of colour.
In regards to the motto; excuse my expression but HRD: Key to economic progress is a rather tired political catch phrase. It reminds me of lakle nou progre. Not that I have anything against political catch phrases but we could be more futuristic ..something like Building Capacity - Building Seychelles. Something along that line. I hope that I do not sound overly critical, I am just being resourceful to the project.
Cheers
J Raguin

The video shown on SBC was well done and I hope well received. It was very to the point and clearyl explained the objective of the SHRDA. A good start but we now need to maintain the quality of our communications with the participating organisations and the public at large. So far so good...congrats to all involved.
